Maintenance

Bicycles might not be as complex as the lumps of metal that carry people about on Motorways (cars?), but they still need regular maintenance. Unlike cars which cover their mechanical bits in bodywork, the bicycles' few moving parts are all exposed to the weather and the muck thrown up by the cars. So if we want our trusty steeds to stay that way (trusty), then we'll need to to ensure that they are oiled and cleaned and tightened and loved. Yes, it's true that a proper mechanic should be trusted to service your bike once a year or so, but we can keep the bills down by keeping an eye on things mean-whilst.
