If you ride with clipless pedals (be they road or off-road), you'll need to replace your cleats at some point. The constant in and out from the pedals and walking about in them will wear them away eventually; although Speedplay make nice little rubber caps to put over your cleats when you go for a coffee during your ride. Oh yes, and if you do buy new pedals then you'll need the Lezyne Pedal Rod to get the old ones off.
