Puncture repairs

All tyre manufacturers will tell you (as they always have) that they have added 'extra puncture protection' to their tyres; but the fact remains that all the time we insist on putting air in our tyres we will still get punctures. So no self respecting cyclist will go on a ride without a repair kit (taking a spare tube is fine but when you've had six punctures in a day - as we have - then you'll know that it is just not enough!). And, like all cycling accessories, the choice may be large but largely comes down to how much you want to spend; from the beautifully designed kits from Lezyne to the traditional puncture kits from Weldtite, the choice is yours. But we will always recommend the Crankbrothers Speedier Lever - nothing makes tyre removal from and replacement back onto the wheel easier.
